Sriyanthie McCabe was born in Sri-Lanka and grew up in Southern California. She has a bachelor of arts from UC Berkeley in Psychology ('91) and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, Women Studies and Political Science from Oregon State University ('03).   She works at NAU as a Career and Academic Advisor, Sr. at the Gateway Student Success Center.  Sriyanthie is happily married and has an amazing 4 ½ year old son.  Her cooking experience is largely based on watching her mother cook and being her taster and kitchen helper throughout the years, as well as being part of a vibrant Sri-Lankan American community in Southern California.
