Italy and the Holocaust

The Dean of NAU's College of Arts and Letters, Dr. Valerio Ferme received his Ph.D in Comparative Literature from the University of California at Berkeley. He has published two single-authored and one co-authored books of criticism, one bilingual book of poetry and numerous other articles and reviews.

The Associate Director for the Holocaust Center at Jewish Family and Children's Services in San Francisco, California, Dr. Alexis Herr received her Ph.D in Holocaust and Genocide Studies from Clark University in 2014 and has held prestigious postdoc fellowships, including the Pearl Resnick Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Saul Kagan Memorial Fellowship for Advanced Shoah Studies. Prior to joining the JFCS Holocaust Center, Dr. Herr taught courses on the Holocaust, comparative genocide, the Armenian Genocide, and in Jewish studies at Keene State College and Northeastern University.
