Weed Pull at Kachina Wetlands

Weed Pull at Kachina Wetlands

Presented by Northern Arizona Audubon Society at Kachina Wetlands

Thanks to the efforts of over 100 volunteers last July, the invasive plant diffuse knapweed was all but eliminated from Kachina Wetlands. Now, it's important to get the last of the flowering weeds before they go to seed and spread into areas that are currently weed-free. Whether you only want to come for one hour or all three, your participation will make a difference. And if you need to get volunteer hours somewhere, this is a perfect place— you will likely see herons, ospreys, and a magnificent view of the San Francisco Peaks as you work.

Kachina Wetlands is a Northern Arizona Audubon Bird Sanctuary, and over 200 species of birds have been known to use the site across the seasons. Please help improve the site for wildlife and humans!
