Every First Friday throughout the summer, Heritage Square in historic downtown Flagstaff plays host to events for all ages! Downtown Friday Nights begins June 1 and will continue through October 5, 2018.

6-7pm: Matt Bingham and Andrew Hamby

Matt Bingham is a songwriter who lives in Flagstaff, AZ. He grew up loving music and was captured by the sounds of his parent’s favorite songwriters. He started playing guitar when he was twelve and after different musical endeavors, was inspired to develop his own voice and start writing songs. He finished his first album in 2009 and has since put out 8 albums (most of which can be found on iTunes and other online digital music places). His most recent is called “In Color” and features members of the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. Andrew Hamby was the cellist on this album and they’ve been playing much more together since they finished recording. This collaboration between them has been an exciting musical endeavor for both performers, and gives the work a truly special feel. Andrew has played cello from the age of seven, and when he isn’t collaborating with Matt, he performs as principal cellist with the Flagstaff Symphony.

7-8pm: Steve Elowson

Steve Elowson is a local Flagstaff Singer/Songwriter.
He’ll play tunes that everyone knows from the last few decades and a few of his originals.
Steve has been compared to Jackson Browne to Jack Johnson.
