Coming up on their 50th anniversary, this Scottish traditional band presents the musical heritage of the Celtic people. The band first grabbed the attention of audiences when the founding members, Roy Gullane and Phil Smillie, brought their full sized bagpipes to stage. The combination of Roy’s guitar, vocals and Phil’s flute introduced a new way for traditional Celtic music. Eventually, the Tannahill Weavers would travel across Europe, Canada, and the United States, and winning the Scotstar Award for Folk Record of the Year.
