Artist's Reception: My Brothers, Our Sisters

Artist's Reception: My Brothers, Our Sisters

Presented by Church of the Epiphany at Church of the Epiphany

Artists Reception for  ‘My Brothers, Our Sisters,’ will be held at the Epiphany Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 423 N Beaver,  as part of their series: Open Doors: Art in Action.  The photos of Haitian people by Michael Collier and Jake Bacon were taken on a recent trip to Haiti to document the work of Northern Arizona Volunteer Medical Corps, a local organization founded after the devastating earthquake in 2010. Since that time, the team has provided medical care in Haiti and Bolivia. Dr. John ‘Bull’ Durham coordinates orthopedic surgical missions to Bernard Mevs Hospital in Port Au Prince twice yearly. Additionally, NAVMC provides material support and funding for the education of the children of the nearby Remnen Orphanage, and conducts blood drives and supports helping agencies here at home. The reception will be held Friday, June 22 starting at 6pm and will feataure the jazz combo, The Flat Five with Vince Abeta, and a light buffet. Admission is free. Parking is in the rear of the church.
