Longtime Flagstaff resident, Charles ("Charlie") T. Way was a professor of music at NAU for man years, and passed away in March of last year. Charlie played principal trumpet in the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra as well as the Flagstaff Festival Orchestra. Trumpeter and vocalist Chuck Curry, Charlie's former student and a flagstaff native, has put together an entertaining tribute concert for Charlie, using friends and former students to coincide with the Curry Summer Music Camp at NAU. the concert is free to attend. All those in attendance are encouraged to contribute to Charlie's NAU Scholarship fund.
