Chris Burton Jácome began playing guitar in 1986. He has studied flamenco guitar with some of the greatest flamenco performers of this era, including Miguel Aragón, Manolo Franco, Ethan Margolis, Juan del Gastor, Juan Amador, Juana Amaya, Enrique Robles, Segundo Falcón and Cristo “El Francés.” Following his return from Spain, Chris has been performing at over 200 shows a year, and has played many sold-out performances in the US and Canada.

Lena Jácome earned her B.F.A. in Dance Performance from the New World School of the Arts and earned her M.F.A. in Choreography and Performance from Arizona State University. She has guest performed in the World Premiere of the Pangean Orchestra at Symphony Hall and she tours nationally with Jácome Flamenco. In 2012 Lena performed and choreographed the role of ‘Flamenco Dancer’ in Teatro Bravo’s presentation of ‘Lorca in a Green Dress.’ In 2013, she was invited to be a guest performer & instructor for the Dance Network of South Dakota. Finally, she has created an extended long term multi-residency dance curriculum for the Baton Rouge, Louisiana dance community.

Tickets are $14 for members of The Arboretum and Flagstaff Arts Council; $18 for non-members; and $9 for kids 6-16. To avoid an online purchasing fee, please call The Coconino Center for the Arts.
