Flagstaff Arts Council is pleased to present the Interference Series at the Coconino Center for the Arts on Wednesday, May 9th. Doors at 6:00pm and concert begins at 7:00pm.
The Interference Series presents a experimental silen film series, each film is 8 minutes or less paired with 8 ensembles of musicians live-scoring the film. The featured filmmakers include:Deidre Huckabay (Chicago), Lia Kohl (Chicago), Jordan Bumgardener (Phoenix), Ember Crowley (Flagstaff), Eugene Brosseau (Flagstaff) and various improvising ensembles including Oscillator New Music, Triceratops, Fieldglass Fraternity, and more. The goal is create a space for collaboration between artists through the live performances. The Interference Series presents local, national, and international artists to Flagstaff. These artists are experimental, avant garde, or radical and this series provide a platform for this underprivilaged artwork. The Interference Series showcases a variety of artists, from musicians, poets, or visual artists, and more.
Tickets are $10 general admission and $5 student discount. Tickets can be purchase online or at the Coconino Center for the Arts. To avoid an online purchasing fee, call Coconino Center for the Arts at (928) 779-2300. All tickets sales are final – no refunds will be issued.
