The Flagstaff Modern and Contemporary Gallery and Studio Neurondiva present the first exhibition of Rodrigo de Toledo’s fictional mythology: Chronicles of Entanglement. In display, visitors will see paintings, prints, installation, and animation, from 2005 to 2018, that belong to the world portrayed in the book Chronicles of Entanglement. A fantasy world of deities and creatures, intertwined with references to daily life in the city of Flagstaff, where this work was created.
Rodrigo is a Brazilian-American visual artist, designer and educator, born in Rio de Janeiro. Rodrigo’s contemporary art production encompasses an imaginative blend of digital imaging, writing, painting, interactive art and animation. Rodrigo's work has been awarded and widely exhibited in art galleries, museums, publications, and festivals worldwide. A pioneer in the digital arts, since 1988, when he entered the the art and animation scene, in Rio and internationally. His ongoing research and creative work concentrates on the design of a personal mythology and its visual iconography, as well as on fictional worlds experience design, and its cross-media applications. Rodrigo teaches Visual Communication at NAU.
