May You Walk In Beauty - Suicide Awareness Wellness Walk

May You Walk In Beauty - Suicide Awareness Wellness Walk

Presented by Native Americans for Community Action at Buffalo Park

The Native Americans for Community Action REACH UR Life, suicide prevention program will host the Flagstaff “May You Walk In Beauty- WALK of HOPE”. The Walk of Hope is an event that helps raise awareness surrounding the issue of suicide. The Walk of Hope has had hundreds of individuals and families participate in the awareness walk throughout several locations in Flagstaff, as well as on and off the Navajo/Hopi reservation. The name Walk of Hope embodies the emotion that people can overcome the many issues and obstacles they face in life. The Walk of Hope is an event that represents one’s journey—a series of small steps filled with hope and a reminder that no one should walk on this journey alone.

With this event we would also like to recognize local support resources and programs available in the  Flagstaff and surrounding communities. We are seeking resource booths for this event and will be sponsoring this events on May 3rd in Flagstaff. With your assistance, we would like to encourage your participation in any fashion, including hosting a resource booth supporting your program and services.
