Pianist Jeffrey Swann – the Adel Artist-in-residence in the NAU School of Music – is performing Debussy &the dawn of Modernism at the Horizons Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 16, at Ashurst Hall.
At 6:30 p.m., join experts at an InContext lecture, to further expand on and enlighten audiences on the history and inspiration behind French Composer Claude Debussy.
Swann enjoys an international performing career that has taken him throughout the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asio. He has performed with numerous symphonies and won first prize in the Dino Ciani Competition sponsored by La Scala in Milan, a gold medal at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, and top honors at the Warsaw Chopin, Van Cliburn, Vianna da Motta, and Montreal Competitions, as well as the Young Concert Artists auditions in New York City.His large and varied repertoire includes more than 60 concertos as well as solo works ranging from Bach to Boulez.
