Beginning Knitting Workshop

Beginning Knitting Workshop

Presented by Arizona Historical Society at The Pioneer Museum

If you've never knit before, or you need a refresher on the basics, this is the class for you! We'll start from the very beginning: how to cast on a project, how to make the knit and purl stitches, and how to bind off your work at the end. We'll learn to combine the two stitches to make many different patterns, while knitting a washcloth, a perfect first project. Students will leave this workshop with enough knitting techniques to tackle more difficult projects on their own.

NOTE: The class is held for two hours on each day, Feb. 17 & 24. Students are expected to attend both sessions for the full lesson.

 ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTOR

Tasha Miller Griffith started teaching sewing and knitting in 2008 and has continued to explore new techniques and share as much of her fiber knowledge as she can ever since. Tasha has taught at the John C Campbell Folk School, at fiber festivals, and independent shops.
