An Educational Tasting of Whisky varieties from Scotland featuring:

$150 level – Kinninvie Hazelwood 105, 15 years old. First-ever bottling of Kininvie as a single malt under its own name. Very rare - only given to Wm Grant employees in 2008 to commemorate Wm Grant’s granddaughter’s 105th birthday.

$125 level – anCnoc 1999, 15 years old. Limited edition of 4500 bottles worldwide. Aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. From Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible “one of the best ever bottlings…period.”

The evening opens in the reception hall of the east wing with an Irish whiskey toast to celebrate the heritage of the Riordan family. Guests then move to Tim's dining room for an educational tasting of whiskies from Scotland in partnership with the Northern Arizona Celtic Heritage Society. The sessions will be led by Scotch experts who will discuss tasting techniques, regional differences and the meaning behind "single" malt. Guests will be served four whiskies (1/2 ounce each) along with a variety of hors d'oeuvres selected to pair nicely with each of the whiskies.

The higher the ticket price, the more rare the whisky! Price includes a tour ticket to Riordan Mansion to be used at the guests' convenience at a later date.
