Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

Presented by Flagstaff Freethinkers at Murdoch Community Center

Flagstaff's celebration and tribute to the legacy of Dr. King and the movement that he championed so powerfully - Civil Rights, Human Rights, Social justice, Economic Justice. A movement that is still alive and very much needed.

We are coming together as a community that cares about these issues, and each other. We are making this day a day of service to this community as well as a day of observances.

We are uniting with the NAU Black Student Union to bring an even greater awareness to their ongoing efforts to commemorate this day. Our role is to expand and coordinate the community service efforts.

Projects will include volunteering at the Flagstaff Family Food Center and Food Bank, the Murdoch Community Center and more. It's going to be a great day to do some real good. More details and signups to follow.

We're starting things off with project signups at the Murdoch Community Center at 7:45am. But if that's too early, there will be volunteer opportunities all day so come down when you're ready to get started! You can also call or email Brian Wallace at 928.699.2877 or email flagstaff.freethinkers@gmail.com to reserve a project space, or many project spaces! Kids welcome!
