Patricia McKee (recently on the Theatrikos stage as Lane in The Clean House and director of The Graduate) will teach a weekly acting class on Sunday evenings, 6-8:30 p.m., beginning October 22 at Theatrikos Theatre Company. All skill levels are welcome. McKee is trained in the Neighborhood Playhouse Technique of acting, developed by revered acting teacher Sanford Meisner. “Meisner” is taught across the U.S. and especially in larger cities like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Actors Robert Duvall, Allison Janney, David Mamet, Mackenzie Davis, Brian Geraghty, and Jasmine Cephas Jones are all Meisner alumni. The cost of the class is $20 per week, paid one month in advance ($80).

The course will begin with the rudimentary lessons delineated by Meiser himself and continue through each step of the technique. Because each class builds upon the next, the course will be open for new students only through the first few weeks.
