Join us every Tuesday from 5-7 pm at the Bus Stop Garden for interactive learning opportunities focusing on vegetable preparation, food preservation, nutrition education, high elevation gardening, and other various garden tips. Family-friendly food demonstrations with FREE food are included at each workshop.

This week’s workshop will focus on Cucumbers and Pollinators. Having a pollinator is essential to making cucumbers grow. We will discuss ways to attract pollinators to your garden as well as hand-pollination methods. Our gardening portion will also include information and a demonstration on drip irrigation to help conserve water.

The food and nutrition portion will include demonstrations and samples of gazpacho, cucumber sorbet, and cucumber-infused water. We will also be demonstrating how to make quick refrigerator cucumber pickles without canning and will have samples to try. We’ll have take-home recipes and information that we hope will inspire a bountiful cucumber harvest. Hope to see you there!
