Topic: The Middle East will continue to be a region of strategic importance for the United States. Civil war and ethnic conflict abound despite US efforts at nation-building the last 12 years. What will the role of the US in the Middle East be in the coming years as we contend with an on-going civil war, Iranian nuclear proliferation, and the end of the US military operations in Afghanistan?
