Empty Bowls

Presented by Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy at Heritage Square

Buy a Bowl, Help Tackle Hunger--Empty Bowls

Students from the Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy’s National Honor and National Art Honor Societies sell handmade ceramic bowls ranging in price from $5 to $30 with all proceeds going to St. Mary’s Food Bank and Rancho Feliz. Ice cream sundaes are available with each purchase of a bowl. Last year’s event raised more than $4,000.

This event kicks off Flagstaff Cultural Partners’ Fridays on the Square and marks Flagstaff’s head into summer and the enjoyment of events in Heritage Square. From 5:00pm to 7:00pm FALA’s African Drum and Dance, Jazz Ensemble, Glee Club and advanced dancers will perform.

This event is made possible through the underwriting generosity of the Vora Financial Group as well as donations from Safeway and Albertsons. Ceramic bowls have been donated by Jason Bohnert and Coconino Community College, Northern Arizona University’s Clay Club, artists Rena Hamilton, Misty Ostrowski, Robin Cadigan, Joni Pervarnik as well as students from FALA and Coconino High School.
