Flagstaff Folk Festival

Presented by Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music at Coconino Center for the Arts

Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music (FFOTM) is proud to present the 12th annual two-day Flagstaff Folk Festival on Saturday and Sunday June 29 and 30, 2013 from 10:00am to 6:00pm on the grounds of the Coconino Center for the Arts and the Pioneer Museum, located at 2300 N. Fort Valley Road in Flagstaff, Arizona.

This exciting event, featuring folk and acoustic music has become one of Northern Arizona’s most-loved festivals by attendees and musicians alike. This event is presented through a partnership of three local organizations: Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music, Flagstaff Cultural Partners and the Arizona Historical Society Pioneer Museum.

The Flagstaff Folk Festival has become a very popular Flagstaff institution, which draws musicians and attendees from throughout Arizona and surrounding states. Under the pines in a serene and cool setting, the Festival stretches across the grounds of the Coconino Center for the Arts and the Pioneer Museum. Over 150 musicians perform on four different stages.

Live music abounds from individual and group acts, including fiddlers, folk singers, string bands, jam sessions, a band scramble, and more. Attendees will be impressed by the sheer volume of talent and amazed by hearing marvelous seasoned performers and impressive new groups and singer-songwriters.

There will be workshops, open to all festival attendees, covering various instruments (past workshops have covered everything from ukulele to autoharp to lead guitar playing) and such topics as songwriting and instrument care.

Admission to the Festival is $3/person or $9/family. Food vendors will have cold beverages, snacks, and meals for sale. Stages are both inside and outside, covered, and seating is provided.
