Preventative Search & Rescue Volunteer Training Day - 2017 Season.  US Forest Service/Friends of N AZ Forest training for volunteers that provide information on Kachina Peaks trails including AZ Trail, Mt. Humphreys, Weatherford as well as for Trail Rangers that monitor Mt. Humphreys Trail providing information, safety and support.  If you have a love of the outdoors, have some experience hiking, want to help people safely enjoy the Kachina Peaks Wilderness and surrounding trails then we welcome you as a Volunteer.  You can specialize in engaging hikers, walkers, families at the Mt. Humphreys trail head or being a Trail Ranger who travels the trails providing info, safety tips, and assistance.  You can volunteer for any amount of time.  Our season is May through early Oct and we staff the trailhead and trails Fri, Sat and Sun.  9am - 1pm, Hart Prairie Lodge, Snowbowl, Flagstaff, AZ.  Contact Bill Waters (flyingbill1@me.com) to register or for more info.
