Presented by North Arizona Climate Change Alliance at Flagstaff Public Library

All groups or individuals concerned about climate change are welcome. Michelle Mattix, highly qualified, will make a powerpoint presentation, Climate Change in Northern Arizona Shown by Satellite, Ground Mapping, and Modelled Predictions. Then members of the roundtable inform about what they are doing including reaction to the latest climate change denial moves. 

Michele Mattix is a specialist in geographic information systems (GIS). She heads  GeoMattix, a geographic information systems training and consulting company based out of Sedona, Arizona.  Michele earned double master’s degrees in environmental science and climatology from Indiana University.  She was part of a research team

studying the effects of vegetation on urban microclimates and worked with specialized micro-meteorological instrumentation to collect field data.  As a GIS professional, Michele focuses on field data collection  using GPS and other technologies. Michele has taught remote sensing and GPS  data collection courses for Arizona State University and Central Wyoming College.
