Second Friday Science Night – Join us for an unforgettable night that includes a presentation by one of our astronomers and fascinating experiments that are sure to amaze adults and kids alike.
Sparks will fly when we perform chemistry experiments at 6 and 8 PM.
At 7 PM, Join Lowell astronomer Larry Wasserman for an indoor presentation, Things That Go Bump in the Night. When two celestial bodies approach each other, one may partially block another from view (transit), cast a shadow of one on the other (eclipse), completely cover up another (occultation) or do some combination (mutual events). All of these events can teach us quite a bit about the bodies involved.
Adults: $12, Seniors/AAA/college students: $10, Ages 5–17: $5, Under 5: free
