Kin Konnections Support Group

Presented by Area Agency on Aging NACOG at Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center

Kinship Caregivers are aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, foster parents and foster families raising children that are not their own.  Kinship Caregivers find themselves in a parenting role they are not always ready for and therefore, the situation becomes overwhelming financially, emotionally and can affect all aspects of the caregiver's life.  We can help!  The Area Agency on Aging NACOG, CPLC Parenting Arizona and Vista Hospice have teamed up to provide this free support groups for families that are struggling with the loss of a parent or both parents.  Kinship Caregivers find their parenting roles to be greatly difficult due to trying to raise a child dealing with trauma and trying to cope with their own loss of independence, security and the loss of their own child or children.

Join us every SECOND Monday of each month to find others in your shoes The Kin Konnections Support Group is professionally facilitated and we do offer complimentary snacks and materials.  The group meets at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center from 10am - 11am every 2nd Monday of each month.
