Matthew Henry Hall

Matthew Henry Hall

Presented by Flagstaff Folk Project at Beacon Unitarian Universalist Congregation

Matt grew up in a very rural spot in eastern Tennessee, playing and running around in the woods and often giving a cappella concerts to the trees from a tree-house. His entire repertoire then was 'Frosty the Snowman,' 'Rhinestone Cowboy,' and 'The Battle Hymn of the Republic.' Along the way, Delaware to be specific, he learned to play the guitar and started writing his own music and lyrics.

Matt has opened shows for Richie Havens, James King and Los Lobos (the last two with a local band called Memphis Laundramatte). Matthew is also known around Flagstaff for originating the Music Writers Group.

Matt writes and sings quite a bit of his own original repertoire, and his sense of humor and style makes for an enjoyable encounter. So, join FFP in welcoming back Matt, for a fun-filled evening of music.
