Odd Flower is a collection of paintings by artist and illustrator, Katie Vernon of Flagstaff, Arizona. Her art is heavily influenced by her previous careers as a florist and landscaper. She uses flowers and natural forms as an entry point to work through larger ideas.

Katie’s most recent body of work explores fragmented and augmented memories through floral forms. The additive and subtractive processes at play as she paints, cuts, and/or collages allow her to work intuitively as she balances detail/abstraction and saturation/neutrality. This method results in pieces with a rich textural component to draw in the viewer. Exhibition can be viewed online or in person, appointments available.
