What to bring and other details:

All Trail events start at 8:30 am and conclude with lunch at 1:00 pm unless otherwise noted. Coffee will be served between 8:00 am and 8:30 am, and beverages, tasty lunch and FUN are all provided.

Sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, sunscreen, water, and head protection are required. Hardhats, gloves, tools, and trail work instructions will be provided. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

***Mountain Line is offering a free bus pass to get to National Trails Day!***

 

Mountain Line is offering a free day pass to National Trails Day volunteers. To get a pass, email transportation@mountainline.az.gov with National Trails Day in the subject line. In the body of the email, please include your name and cell phone number and Mountain Line will text you a pass.

The National Trails Day event is accessible via Route 5, which departs the Downtown Connection Center (Phoenix Ave. between Milton and Beaver) every hour at quarter after the hour. Stop 13 at Fort Valley and Valley Crest is closest to the event. The 8:15 a.m. departure from downtown will arrive at that stop at approximately 8:33 a.m. and it is about a ½ mile walk to the event. The 9:15 a.m. departure will arrive at about 9:33 a.m. On the return trip, riders can board at Stop 19 at FALA at approximately 38 minutes after the hour.
