A celebration of World Migratory Bird will be held at Kachina Wetlands on Saturday, May 18th from 8 am to noon, with a variety of activities for birders of all skill levels and people of all ages.
Whether you have been to Kachina Wetlands dozens of times or have never set foot there before, you will have a great time enjoying the bird life while learning why Kachina Wetlands is such a special place. The event is sponsored by Northern Arizona Audubon Society, Jay’s Bird Barn, and the Environmental Education Program of Rocky Mountain Research Station.

Two public bird walks, one at 8:00 am and another at 9 am.
A spotting scope set up all morning so that if you can’t make a bird walk, you can still see get terrific views of birds.
A live hawk demonstration by the International Raptor and Falconry Center.
An opportunity to help tally a list of all species seen during the morning.
