MNA’s Anthropology Collections Manager, Tony Thibodeau, will lead a virtual panel discussion on Indigenous futurism.

Indigenous Futurisms refers to the placement of Indigenous Peoples throughout time and space through science fiction, art, film, and pop culture. Indigenous Futurism allows Native creators to reimagine societal tropes, alternative histories and futures through the exploration of science fiction and its sub-genres. It paints a picture of Native communities in the future or in alternative timelines – in a world that could have been.
