How to Get Free: Women, tango and the power of fiction

Join us for a virtual examination of how Latin American culture and music influenced the work of one novelist in a multimedia presentation.

How do we create true spaces of freedom? What is the hidden music of women’s lives? In this multimedia talk, acclaimed Uruguayan descent novelist Carolina De Robertis offers an intimate glimpse into the Latin American cultural and musical histories that inspired her novels The Gods of Tango and Cantoras, and explores the power of fiction to transform silences into song.

The event is free and open to anyone who is interested. RSVP to receive Zoom info http://eepurl.com/hrtsdD
