Now in it’s 86th year, the Hopi Festival is recognized as a cultural treasure in the state, and a not-to-miss summer tradition.
This two-day celebration of Hopi culture starts at 9 am Saturday with a ceremonial welcome and flagraising, followed by dance and music performances, artist demonstrations, workshops and puppet shows. This year's performers include Ongtupqua performing on the Hopi long flute and a Hopi hoop dancer. Learn about gourd carving from artists Jonah and Gregory Hill.
