Homesteader's Hike

This hike occurs in the Lamar Haines Memorial Wildlife Area, an original 160 acre homesteader’s site in the San Francisco Peaks. The parcel’s relative flat terrain, presence of two spring, surrounding alpine environment and southern-facing aspect makes it ideal for human habitation and visitation. This hike is an easy loop affording participants the privilege of exploring an ideal homesteading site, as well as picturesque alpine forest (with Pines, Furs and Aspens).

Transportation is provided. Please bring a backpack with water, a snack, and any other items you feel appropriate for a short hike.
