Revisiting the African-American Experience in Northern Arizona
In honor of Black History month, presenters will talk about their experiences and Arizona African-American history.
Speakers will be:
Margaret Hangan is a forest archeologist and heritage program manager for Kaibab National Forest and has published on history of black communities in Williams, AZ.
Ben Carver is a public lands historian who received a PhD in History at NAU.
Jack Reid earned a PhD in History at NAU, published articles on Flagstaff's black community and currently speaks on northern Arizona history.
