Come join us for Free RPG Day on Saturday, June 16th, from 12pm-8pm. Drop-in games will be running all day and free RPG merchandise will be available to everyone, courtesy of Cab Comics. There will be an awesome RPG tournament starting at 4pm with trophies and prizes. No prep or experience necessary, just come and have fun. All games are completely free and beginners are welcome and encouraged to come check it out. If you’ve only ever heard of Dungeons & Dragons and been curious, this is a great event to dip your toes in the water and see what’s possible.
There will be free quickstart guides, adventure modules, and other materials for games such as Call of Cthulhu, Dungeons & Dragons, Numenera, Dungeon Crawl Classics, Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay, and recently Kickstarted games Kids on Bikes RPG and Overlight RPG, among others. There are limited quantities, so come check it out early, but stay for the tournament!
At the moment, we have several games running as follows:
* Mutant Crawl Classics RPG: starting at noon, max of 6 players. Post-apocalyptic adventuring in a radioactive wasteland.
* Pathfinder: starts at 2pm, 4 players max.
* Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition: time and players TBA. This will be a kid-friendly game.
* Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG Tournament: starting at 4pm, all players welcome (no limit). Prizes and trophies for winners, including exclusive Free RPG Day swag, no experience necessary, all are welcome. Entry is totally free. FREE!!
The list of games will be updated as more information comes in. The D&D game is listed as kid-friendly, but all games should be kept appropriate for all ages, so feel free to bring the youngsters.
