Flagstaff Follies: A Day in the Life of a Small Mountain Town

The Master Chorale of Flagstaff is hosting a locally-themed variety show. This ambitious production is a new venture for the Chorale, and sees them branching out by performing selections from works far outside of their usual repertoire, and by collaborating with artists from all facets of the Northern Arizona community.

The scripted portion of this show that links the acts together features noted folk singer/raconteur Tony Norris leading a dissatisfied Flagstaff resident, played by singer and actor Richard Gaughan, through many of the iconic, as well as not so well-known, locations that make our small mountain town so special. Under the musical direction of Stephanie Galloway, performers include Shawn Dennehy, Sally Krueger, Doug Riddle, Mary Lynn Quartaroli, Eric Walden, Suzanne Motsinger, Deb Roberts, Jeannie Carroll, Lynn Edwards, Bree Jones, Paul Miller, Steve Caldwell, Karen Appleby, Cathy Snow, Susie Hopkins, Volcano Ukuleles, The Mudflap Girls, Charles Spining, and several surprise guests.

In addition to the main presentation, there will be pre-show festivities starting as soon as the doors open at 6:30 PM. Members of Circus Bacchus as well as Capoeira Amizade Flagstaff will entertain the audience as they take their seats, and a silent auction as well as a 50/50 Raffle will last throughout the evening. Surprise guests and one-time-only collaborations will make this a very special evening and will remind everyone how lucky we are to call Flagstaff "home."

 All funds raised will benefit the Master Chorale’s future endeavors.
