My daughter has a butterfly growing kit, but can't find any caterpillars around our home in November. Is this because there aren't any to be found? Is it ethical (or not) to order some caterpillars online? I'm wondering if the butterfly would then have any chances of surviving if it was let out into the wild at this time of year. Would it know where to fly to get to warmer weather or is it too

Would it know where to fly to get to warmer weather or is it too late in the year? If it is too late, when would you recommend starting in the spring from a caterpillar we could find in our backyard? Thanks!
