My Brothers, Our Sisters

"MY BROTHERS, OUR SISTERS" the mesmerizing photographs of Haitian people by Dr. Michael Collier and Sun photographer Jake Bacon will be on display June 6 through July 18 at the Art in Action gallery in the Church of the Epiphany. A fundraising event to benefit The Northern Arizona Volunteer Medical Corp is planned for Friday, June 22. The photographers accompanied the all-volunteer team on one of their trips to document their work and answer the question, "Who are these people?" The title of the exhibit answers this question. The church is located at 423 N Beaver. Parking is accessed off Humphries and Elm.

The Northern Arizona Volunteer Medical Corp (NAVMC) is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1995 following a trip to Armenia by Drs. Kelly Reber and Bert Mckinnon. Since that time, the team has provided medical care in many countries now including Haiti, Bolivia, and northern Arizona. Dr. John ‘Bull’ Durham coordinates orthopedic surgical missions to Bernard Mevs Hospital in Port Au Prince as well as support of the nearby Renmen Orphanage. Exhibit is open to the public Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 4pm.
