A tour through Flagstaff’s history by visiting the homes of Michael and Timothy Riordan – brothers that helped build our community.
The duplex-style Riordan Mansion remains one of the finest examples of American Arts and Crafts-style architecture open to the public today. Designed by the architect of the impressive El Tovar Hotel at the Grand Canyon, Charles Whittlesey, the homes were built in 1904 with indoor plumbing, hot and cold running water, central heat, and electric lights, reflecting the most modern technology and design of the time. Guided tours are one hour in length and begin at the top of the hour with the first tour at 11:00 AM and the last tour of the day at 4:00 PM. The park also has an outdoor, self-guided tour, a gift shop and picnic area. The open Thursday through Monday for the winter.
