Chris Proctor has made a reputation in the world of contemporary guitar for more than 30 years as an original composer and technical innovator, and as a tireless performer and teacher of his style and technique across the United States, Europe, Canada and Mexico. Bridging the gap between Leo Kottke’s early ground-breaking solo work, and the Windham Hill guitarists who followed, Proctor is a pioneer in the solo genre, who has paved the way for others and helped make solo steel-string guitar a respected form of contemporary original music.
