Trappings of the American West Exhibition

Presented by Dry Creek Arts Fellowship at Museum of Northern Arizona

Trappings of the American West features new work by 75 of the country's top artists from 14 Western states including members of the Cowboy Artists of America, Traditional Cowboy Arts Association, and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. Trappings showcases the talents of master painters, sculptors and photographers, along with contemporary cowboy gear created by craftsmen and women. Saddles, boots, hats, knives, engraved bits and spurs, hitched horsehair, braided rawhide, and musical instruments are all available for purchase.

For members of the Dry Creek Arts Fellowship and Museum of Northern Arizona, a preview and artist reception will be held Friday, September 1st. An engaging series of public programs will occur each weekend in September and will include artist demonstrations, exhibition tours, leather tooling workshop, cowboy poetry, music, interpretive lectures, a book signing, and more.

Admission Info

Admission to the Museum of Northern Arizona is $12 for adults and $8 for students (w/ID). American Indians (10+ with tribal affiliation) and youth (10 - 17). Children under 10, and MNA and DCAF members, are free.
