The Sea The Sea pairs sweet vibrant voices with warm acoustic harmonies to produce a rich stunning sound. This upstate New York indie folk-pop band originated with duo songwriters Chuck E. Costa and Mira Stanley. Their debut album Love We Are We Love released in 2014 received praise from NPR, American Songwriter, and No Depression. Shortly after their popular tour, Cara May Gorman and Stephen Struss became permanent additions to the group, allowing them to transform their sound and performance while still delivering a performance true to their roots.
Their newest album released in June of 2018, From the Light, combines their original folk sound with new percussion rhythms and dual female voices to produce a weaving sound paired with poetic lyrics. By pairing the well known and highly praised folk style into a modern pop style, The Sea The Sea resonates deep sound accompanied by strong beautiful vocals.
