Mountain Charter School directs this race to raise funds that support their goal of keeping the parents connected and supporting the teachers in meeting the educational goals of the children. Creating community is a secondary but very important goal. Building community within the school is the fun part of being involved with the school and is inextricably connected to student achievement.
