Kevin Schindler discusses his newest book on the discovery of Pluto at Lowell Observatory.
Clyde Tombaugh was hired at Flagstaff’s Lowell Observatory as part of a research team to find a distant “trans-Neptunian” planet Percival Lowell was convinced existed. Tombaugh’s work paid off, and the discovery of Pluto was announced on March 13, 1930. Join Kevin Schindler, Lowell Observatory’s wildly popular Historian, as he discusses the latest book he co-authored with Lowell astronomer Will Grundy. Night at the Museum events are always FREE.
