March Meeting - Yoga for Desk Jockeys

Women in business and art, are you feeling bogged down? Our member Sabrina Carlson has an awesome meeting for us! Have you heard that “Sitting is the New Smoking”? If the fantastical headlines are right, most of us are in BIG trouble. 
Even if these claims are a tiny bit exaggerated {Hello Click Bait!} without a doubt the #1 complaint I hear from my students and peers goes something like this, “I’ve never had any trouble with back pain my whole life. Then I took this desk job and my back is killing me, I have terrible sciatic pain, headaches, carpal tunnel, AND my weight just keeps climbing no matter what I do!” 
Sound familiar? So many of us deal with this very problem. But what should we do!? We can’t just quit our jobs! And we can’t all have active jobs either. Are we all doomed to a future of pained bodies and expanding backsides? I don’t think so. I think we can support our bodies, change our work habits and shift ourselves from discomfort to greater ease and create the most movement rich environments possible for our bodies, even in a modern world.
