Join Kachina Peaks Avalanche Center for an informative presentation and short film on how avalanches form and safe travel tips for the backcountry. Hosted by the good folks at SMR.
There will be a power point presentation introducing avalanche formation basics, weather, the human factor and safe travel tips. Followed by a nationally recognized avalanche short film showcasing the destructive power of avalanches, how people get in trouble and the basics of how to avoid them, all through the eyes of avalanche professionals, accident victims and rescuers.
This is an encouraging and informative evening promoting education and getting out and having fun safely.
