CAL Film Series: 'Minority Report'

Spielberg directs from a short story by Philip K. Dick with Tom Cruise as a police officer in the future who knows about and can arrest people before they commit crimes.

The 2017 Fall College of Arts and Letters Film Series is seeing stars: The series’ theme —20th Century Fox: The Directors—There were five major film studios during Hollywood’s Golden Age, roughly the years from 1932-1947.  All five of those studios are still actively producing entertainment productions today. The CAL Film Series has featured two of those studios in the past: Columbia and Warner Brothers.  In the future, NAU plans to do series focus on MGM and Paramount.

Get to know about the movies and their famous directors at 7 p.m. Tuesday evenings in the Cline Library Assembly Hall. Win prizes as film experts share little-known tidbits about the films, actors and the social issues that impacted the stories and their telling.
